Damn it, Scrim - I can pick up a gauntlet with the best of them. I'm no bad cook myself and my love of fine and not-so-fine drinking is a matter of record. Ronald Mac has not seen a penny of my money in more years than I can count. Howevah! I would not expect my guests to choke down their fine victuals to the accompaniment of Jerry and the boys putting the total bejeezus up them with some choice psycho-delic meanderings. The Dead are to be listened to - not played politely in the background. My take - but you don't have to.

So Scrim - what's for dinner? Can you set a place for me if I bring the beer? You're making me really hungry...

I've bee into the Dead for well over 20 years and I'm kinda with you I really don't get into the wandering Darkstar jams either, to each his own I guess.

I've been listening to the Dead for almost 30 years and I don't really get into the wandering Darkstar jams myself, to each his own I guess.

From reading a lot of posts here, it seem there are 2 major catagories (of posters anyway) those who like earlier dead from '69 - '79 and there are those who like later dead like from '77 - mid 80's / early 90's. I guess I fall into the later category 'cause that's when I got into the band and that's when I saw some shows (unfortunately only about 10 or so). I have been having a ball listening to shows since I found this site about 3 months ago.
